My Retreat Into A Tranquil Paradise At Kolkata!
Perhaps the most symbiotic travel destination is Kolkata and was firmly on top of my bucket list. Kolkata has a number of options for things to do for all age groups, like the extravagant royal buildings, Bengali cuisine line up, ferry rides in Hooghly river to name a few. I compiled the list of things that revolves a trip as I was assigned for client meeting at Kolkata. My excitement automatically doubled up as my boss had bumped me to Ac three tier train tickets and accommodation was at Taj Bengal. I upgraded myself to get noticed and valued during client meeting.
My journey began at Secunderabad junction at 15:55 and was scheduled to reach Howrah junction at 17:45 covering a distance of 1543 kms. This superfast train from Secunderbad to Howrah stops at 23 stations and the journey time to reach the destination is 25 hours and 45 minutes. This train runs daily and connects important stations and is always jam packed through out the year. This train which has 24 coaches is mostly kept neat and clean.

The Faluknama express with train number 12703 is rated good in terms of cleanliness and punctuality. The train traverses through Telengana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and West Bengal. Apart from the AC coaches it has 14 sleeper class coaches, pantry car and 3 general compartments.

Taj Bengal is centrally located in Alipore which is the central part of Kolkata city and is an hour away from the airport. This landmark hotel with its sumptuous rooms and in house restaurants is both modern and also with an old world charm which reminded me of an era gone by while still not burning a hole in my pocket. The deluxe room reserved for me had spectacular interiors and is a home away from home. My client meeting was at the promenade lounge as I had English high tea at this very unique place.

The artistic ambience of the room enhanced the experience of having tea which was well paired with cakes and macrons. For a unique dining experience indulge in either North Indian or Bengali cuisine which is reeking with local flavors at the ambient Sonargon restaurant. At Taj Bengal they offer private dining spaces and this exudes royalty and one can be guaranteed of impeccable service. The experience of this five star elegance with its exclusive deals and packages was the perfect getaway to experience a lifestyle event.
Labeled as the city of joy Kolkata is very famous for its people and their culture and food. The best part is I visited some of the famous monuments. Beautiful and charming this is one of the best cities and is well connected to the rest of India. After a wonderful journey I finally bid good bye to this spectacular place and I was also the happiest since my client meet was also successful.
