A Journey to Mahabaleswar for Fun Times and a Stressfree Holiday

I had heard about the exotic heritage sites of Mahabaleshwar and being so interested in visiting sun locations, I booked tickets to the city on the Kolhapur Express. Ticket booking was done through the IRCTC website, which is easy to use.

My Trip on the Kolhapur Express Was Very Comfortable

The Kolhapur Express is a majestic train that offers daily connectivity between Surat and Mahabaleshwar. It is a fast train and one that has the latest comforts and facilities. Those seeking a quick journey between locations in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra will find this train to be ideal for their needs.

Inside the train, you can find first, second class compartments. The seating is comfortable and large windows have been provided for passengers so that they can look onto the passing landscape. It is a fast train and one that completes it routé across various locations, between four states, quickly and easily.

My journey on the carrier was smooth and comfortable. At the Mahabaleswar station, I took a cab to reach the hotel.

The Accommodation Was a Lovely Four Star Hotel

I stayed in the posh four star Evershine Keys Prima Resort, which is situated on Gautam Road. It is the best luxury hotel in Mahabaleshwar, offering posh facilities, but within a very affordable price range. The hotel’s interiors are very posh, chic and modern offering a enchanting environment for guests, where they can enjoy a sound staying experience.

My room had a very modern ambience and was fitted with the best guest facilities. The room’s warm and welcoming ambience made me feel at home right away. Facilities such as the plush bedding, large LCD television, hair dryer etc, offered utmost comfort during my stay.

In the morning, guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast. Guest can enjoy delicious North Indian meals, Chinese, continental in the hotel’s multi-cuisine restaurant. There is also a pizza center, pastry shop and bar where drinks and cocktails can be enjoyed.

Various forms of recreation facilities are offered to guests such as swimming pool, snooker room, gym etc. the hotel’s spa offers the most invigorating massage treatments. There is a special children’s play area. Through the hotel’s conferencing facility, meetings, chats, presentations etc can be conducted. Other guest facilities are room’s service, housekeeping and laundry.

Local Sightseeing Was Great

I took a hotel cab to visit many places of interest in Mahabaleshwar such as the Mapro Garden, Longamala Falls, Babington Point etc. Out of the many places that I visited, the place that impressed me the most is the Pratapgad Fort, which is a huge structure constructed by Shivaji Maharaj. It stands at an elevation of 1080 meters and is built on an area which overlook the Par and Kinesvar villages.

After spending a lovely time sightseeing and relaxing in Mahabaleshwar, I returned to the hotel to pack for the journey back home.
