Trains from Surat to Ahmedabad
A Trip to Ahmedabad for Enjoying Historical Places
I like visiting the famous places in the country that are easily reachable from my place. I had this wonderful opportunity of visiting Ahmedabad while staying in Surat. There are many ways to reach the city of Ahmedabad from
Surat as it is well connected by trains and buses. I looked for the best trains that are running on this route and the seats availability in all of them.
Train ticket in Sleeper Class from Surat
After much of the search on IRCTC I booked tickets in one of the trains known as the Mahuva Express 19025. It is one of the fastest and early morning trains from Surat to Ahmedabad that is available for the tourists and the passengers. The train departs from the city of Surat at 5.30 am in the morning and reaches Ahmedabad at 9 am. Hence the total distance of the travel is covered in less than 3.30 hours by the train.
I got the tickets easily in the
sleeper class of the train. The train was standing at the platform when I reached the station. I got to my seat and decided to sleep for the journey. The train reached Ahmedabad at the right time and I headed for the exit. There are many hotels and resorts that are available in the city for the tourists. I had booked one of the best resorts in the city for the stay.

- In house restaurant
- Café and bar
- 24 hour room service

- Online booking of the rooms
- Pick and drop services
Visit to Sabarmati Ashram
There are many places in the city of Ahmedabad that I had decided to visit. the first place that I had visited in the city was
Sabarmati Ashram. This is the place where Gandhi ji lived much of his life after returning to India and controlled the Indian National Movement. This place became the centre of Indian freedom struggle for a long time. It was a great feeling to go this place and feel the vibes and energy. The river front in front of the Ashram is majestically made by the authorities and is a great place to hang out.
Another famous place of the city that I had visited was a textile museum known as
Calico Museum of Textiles. It is a museum that admits only few people every day. I had booked online tickets for the visit to this place. The visit to the museum was very good and I enjoyed every minute of the visit in the museum.

Kankaria Lake is a famous picnic spot of the city. I visited this place also and was quite impressed with its grandeur. There is a huge lake in between and surrounded by shops and amusement park, games and eateries in all the sides. It is a great place to hang out with friends and family together and enjoy the beauty of the lake.
